Your Rhinoplasty Consultation

A successful rhinoplasty begins with a deep understanding of each patient's goals. During a private consultation, we perform a comprehensive evaluation: examining the nose in relation to the chin, forehead, and cheeks for global facial balance; checking the septum and nasal valves to ensure the final result will function as well as it looks; and collaboratively designing a surgical plan that honors your unique facial character.

Preparation and Recovery

Rhinoplasty is typically performed under general anesthesia. We do not use nasal packing, which significantly reduces post-operative pressure and allows for a more pleasant initial healing phase. Patients wear a small protective splint on the bridge of the nose for approximately one week. Most patients feel ready to return to work or social activities once the external splint is removed, typically about a week after surgery.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Dr. Goyal use nasal packing? No. We utilize advanced surgical techniques that eliminate the need for traditional nasal packing, allowing our patients to avoid the significant discomfort often associated with older methods of rhinoplasty recovery.

Will I have a fake or surgical look? Our philosophy is rooted in naturalism. We avoid over-resection, which can lead to a pinched or scooped look. Instead, we focus on strengthening the nasal framework to ensure the nose looks natural and ages beautifully over time.

Can breathing be corrected at the same time? Yes. Many patients who seek cosmetic changes also suffer from breathing issues. We can often address these issues at the same time to ensure the nose functions as beautifully as it looks.

Dr. Lindsey Goyal performed a complicated plastic surgery on my nose after a basal cell cancer was removed by a Mohs surgeon. The space was large enough that it required a skin flap from my cheek. She did an unbelievably wonderful job.
