  • Harvest Site Care: You may experience mild soreness at the harvest site, similar to the feeling of a strenuous workout.
  • Final Results: By 3-6 months, the take rate is established, and your results are considered permanent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is facial fat grafting better than fillers? For patients looking for a permanent solution or those who require significant volume, fat grafting is superior. While fillers are excellent for minor tweaks, fat grafting provides a more natural-looking global rejuvenation and avoids the puffy look that can occur with over-filled synthetic products.

How much of the fat actually stays? Not all of the fat that is transferred will remain permanently, and this take rate varies from patient to patient. Our advanced harvesting and purification techniques are designed to maximize this take rate. Once the fat has established a blood supply in its new location, it stays there for life.

Will the fat move or shift? No. Unlike synthetic fillers, which can occasionally migrate, grafted fat is integrated into your natural facial tissues. Once it heals, it stays exactly where it was placed.

Dr. Lindsey Goyal performed a complicated plastic surgery on my nose after a basal cell cancer was removed by a Mohs surgeon. The space was large enough that it required a skin flap from my cheek.
